Charging Mechanism Intro
What are the features of the brand new charging mechanism? How exactly should you play it?
Upon entering the Full Speed Charging stage, multiple charging piles will appear. Take out enemies that are destroying the charging piles to activate the charging piles for a quick charge. The three members of the team can each find a charging pile, deal with nearby enemies, and activate it. The more charging piles activated, the faster the charging speed.
Compared to other mechanics, this one is more team-friendly. Even if the enemy occupies one or two charging piles, they can't stop the charging, which makes it faster to reach the boss stage and easier to achieve a perfect clearance!
Charging Mechanism Tips
Now you have been introduced to the basic charging mechanism. Here are some tips to help improve your clearance efficiency. Let's take a look!
To increase clearance efficiency with the help of the charging mechanism, the most imporotant thing is the cooperation between teammates and the wise use of Joint Abilities.
At the start, decide with your teammates how you will each activate a charging pile. Generally speaking, the layout of the charging piles is usually one on one side and two on the other. I suggest having a Firepower Character stand-alone to guard that single charging pile, and on the other side, ideally a Heavy Armor Character and a Healing Character. The Heavy Armor can activate a shield to attract enemies while guarding their own charging pile, easing the pressure with the Firepower Character.
Of course, the charging piles might still be occupied by enemies, as the attack at each position could be different, and Character strengths are not always ideal. At that point, you should help each other and reclaim the charging piles through focusing fire.
New Boss Battle Tips
Teamwork is always important, no matter how the mechanics change! Apart from the new mechanics, a new boss, Deep Sea Guardian: Titan, has also been introduced to the boss stage. Let me introduce some battle tips for this new enemy!
The new boss, Deep Sea Guardian: Titan, is mainly underwater, so most attacks are ranged attacks. It has four basic types of attack: fireballs, torpedoes, homing missiles, and spikes. It can also lift the platform to bring you into close contact with the spikes.
Most of these attacks are relatively easy to dodge, except for the missiles' lock-on and homing effects, which require agile movement or aggro attraction of heavy armor Characters. Overall, as long as you catch the boss's skill release timing and cooperate with teammates, the new boss is quite manageable.
Core Combinations
In addition to new mechanics and a new boss, the new version also introduces four new Cores. Let's see some matching strategies!
The 4 new Cores released this season are all support Cores. Clearing the underwater stage with Difficulty 10 gets you the Joint Operation 3 and Maat Cores. The Joint Operation 3 Core is versatile: It increases Debuff DMG and is suitable for almost all support Characters.
(Joint Operation 3)
Maat Core brings Overload DMG Bonus, which is perfect for the new Character Joe to support Eiserner. Besides, when Joe applies Overload through Skill 1, the Core effect can also apply to other main DPS Characters.
(Maat)

Once the underwater stage reaches Difficulty 15, you can get Berua and Meiruizige Cores. The Berua Core increases the team's CRIT Rate when there are summons nearby. It is very useful for Kukik who always has a falcon around.
(Berua)

The Meiruizige Core increases Shot DMG when Characters in the team use skills. You can equip Saya with it to assist Trevor or Scarlett.
(Meiruizige)

Overall, these new Cores will definitely strengthen support Characters, and are well worth the effort to obtain.
That's all for the exclusive guide to the new version of Joint Operation: Abyss Mode. Do you have any insights about the combinations of the new Cores? Feel free to share and discuss them in the comments!
