Soldier Roles
As most of you know, the game currently has 5 types of soldier roles: Camp Guards, Armored Forces, Skill Masters, Assault Vanguards, and the Extraordinary League. Each role possesses its own unique abilities, and the available roles refresh daily, which greatly influences your preparation for battles.
Let's start with Camp Guards. In essence, this role can enhance your stationary DPS capabilities while reducing damage while moving. This means Characters like Marco and Lyla, who excel at stationary combat, can maximize their damage potential, especially when equipped with high RoF weapons like HMGs and Gatlings.
Next one is Armored Forces. This role enhances DPS and ATS of Characters with high HP, ensuring continuous damage. Given these advantages, tank Characters like Tarma and Nadia become top picks.
Assault Vanguards increase certain HP and allow you to shoot more bullets, keeping your HP in a safe condition. You can use high RoF weapons like Gatlings, HMGs, or Freeze Guns to maximize the potential of this role.
Rumi recommends choosing the Assault Vanguard. Primarily, wielding high RoF weapons ensures continuous HP regeneration, maintaining the Characters in optimal condition. The additional HP effectively compensates for the fragility of DPS Characters, smoothing the entire progression. Difficulty affixes typically correlate with soldier roles, so it's not recommended to refresh your role, as doing so may cause you to lose the correlation.
Difficulty Affixes
You must now have a deeper understanding of soldier roles. But there are many secrets hidden between soldier roles and difficulty affixes. Let's dive into them!
Firstly, having the right difficulty affixes is essential for embarking on new challenges. You need to combine the right affixes to achieve the desired difficulty.
Furthermore, there's a correlation between different affixes. For example, the continuous HP drain effect of the Armor of Corruption can synergize well with the Assault Hail, which boosts Characters' RoF. When paired with the Assault Vanguard role, the overall performance will be stellar!
However, not all yellow affixes are negative. Choose your affixes wisely to ensure a smooth progression.
Cross-Tier Challenges

Initially, the completion method for Endless Trial is similar to the Adventure Mode. Once you've grasped the nuances of soldier roles and difficulty affixes, 1-star and 2-star challenges should be a breeze.
However, when the challenge escalates to 3 stars, the difficulty spikes. To reap more rewards, you'll need to invest more effort in selecting affixes and preparing for battles.
It's crucial to remember that while there's no limit to the number of attempts in the Endless Trial, there's still a time limit for each challenge. So, rapid completion is our goal. However, upon encountering affixes like Well-Prepared and Ready to Go, we often find ourselves torn between granting the enemies higher HP or greater ATK.
To minimize completion time, Rumi suggests opting for Ready to Go, which boosts enemies' attack. Evade their hits with agile movements for a swift victory!
During the preparation, remember to pick an appropriate squad.
Consider deploying Haran with a Freeze Gun to slow down enemies, Lyla with a Gatling for high damage, and Nadia with a Flame Shot not only to inflict Debuffs and enhance damage, but also to regenerate HP, ensuring your HP to never run low.
Of course, this isn't the only viable option. We must adjust our lineup according to the refreshed affixes and soldier roles. Remember, only sustained HP ensures long-lasting DPS!
Note that the bosses refresh every week! During battles with various bosses, utilize terrains for evading their attacks. Most bosses have a windup before their strikes, so exploit this windup time to deal intense damage, ensuring a smoother victory.
